First things.

So here I am at Terminal 5.  Finished my coffee.  Already done something I've never done before .... read the paper on an iPad!  Lots more firsts to come no doubt.  12 hours of flight to Havana via Madrid and then 3 months of adventure. No make-up, no jewellery .... not even my beloved diamond ring.  Only a back pack and a "Longchamp" bag with a broken zip for company!  At least I am beginning to look the part.  Another first ... a "selfie" at Heathrow!   So here goes ....
